About this resource
The Home Energy Assistance Target (HEAT) program is a federally funded initiative designed to help qualifying individuals and families manage elevated energy expenses (both electric and natural gas) during the winter and summer seasons. This program is available throughout the entire year.
Who can use this
- Residents with low income can receive assistance once per program year if their total household income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level, they are responsible for energy costs, and at least one member is a US citizen or legal permanent resident.
Documents you may need
- Copies of utility bills.; Income Verification — Proof of income for all household members for the month before applying.; Photo ID — Photo ID for head of household
