About this resource

This program offers utility payment assistance exclusively to residents of South Salt Lake, including those serviced by Jordan Valley, Mount Olympus Valley, or Salt Lake City water providers, for their water, sewer, and garbage utility payments. It does not cover power or natural gas utilities. The assistance period runs from October 1 to September 30, with a maximum aid amount of $150 or the total utility account balance, whichever amount is lower.

Who can use this

To qualify, residents of South Salt Lake must have water and/or sewer utility bills, with assistance available only for those billed directly by the City of South Salt Lake. Applicants should have a household income at or below 150% of the federal poverty line, have experienced a life-altering event, and/or have faced a significant income decrease.
