Offers basic support to clients eligible for HEN, which includes items like toiletries, toothpaste, shampoo, and laundry/dish soap. If funding allows, financial aid may cover rent, utilities, and moving costs. Clients must first apply through DSHS; once approved, they can contact the Chelan Douglas Community Action Council for further assistance.
Intake Procedure: To apply for HEN or get specific eligibility details, call DSHS. For general inquiries about HEN services or to access them after enrollment, reach out to CDCAC.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this assistance.
Who can use this
- Only clients confirmed by DSHS as eligible for HEN can receive assistance. Chelan Douglas Community Action Council will check eligibility and evaluate the client's risk of homelessness to determine if they qualify for financial aid, which is not guaranteed; however, all clients can receive essential needs assistance.
