About this resource
This program aids individuals receiving DSHS public assistance in acquiring a Washington State ID card at a lower cost from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to receive the ID for $5.
Intake Procedure: Reach out to or visit any Community Service Office.
Fees: ID Card: $5.
Who can use this
- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, including those receiving financial and food assistance, are eligible. Those under 25 without a permanent residence do not require a DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility when obtaining the ID at the driver licensing office.
