Council For The Homeless
Community Resource
About this resource
This service serves as a central hub for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, facilitating connections to vital programs and services, including shelter placements and housing or safe parking options.
Intake Process: For housing programs, contact the Housing Hotline for an initial screening, with a voicemail option available after hours or when specialists are busy. For single men's shelter, call to check availability; placements depend on bed space and the client's vulnerability. A valid contact method (email, phone, or message number) is required, and clients should check in weekly to provide updates if they still need shelter. For single women's or family shelters, call to inquire about availability or to join the waitlist, and remember to call weekly to confirm ongoing need for shelter.
Cost: There are no fees associated with these services.
Who can use this
- Individuals, couples, and families aged 18 and older who are experiencing homelessness (not couch-surfing).
