This program assesses eligibility for state assistance aimed at helping older adults and individuals with disabilities afford both attendant care and other supportive services to maintain their independence.

Fees: Participants may need to pay a contribution fee to access services, although those enrolled in WA Apple Health (Medicaid) can receive services without this fee.

Who can use this

The program is designed for older adults and individuals with disabilities, with eligibility based on care needs and financial resources. Generally, applicants must have a monthly income below $7,304 and countable resources under $2,000 for a single adult, $57,547 for a couple, or $123,600 for a couple if one is in a hospital or skilled nursing facility. Those exceeding resource limits may still qualify if they anticipate meeting the limits within a month of applying. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate an unmet need for help with at least two daily living activities or have a cognitive impairment requiring assistance with one.
