Fees: The annual licensing fees are $60 for unaltered dogs/cats, $30 for altered dogs/cats, $15 for seniors/disabled individuals, $5 for replacement tags, and service animals are licensed for free.

Who can use this

There are no restrictions for obtaining pet licenses; however, all dogs and cats over 8 weeks old must be licensed in most areas of King County. To qualify for senior/disabled discounts, the pet owner must be at least 65 years old or have a documented disability, and the pet must be altered. For service animals, the owner must provide documentation of their disability and a statement confirming the animal's service status, and the pet must also be altered. A service animal is defined as one that is trained or in training to assist individuals with disabilities and is registered with a recognized organization.
