Offers temporary emergency housing for homeless and runaway youths aged 7-17 for a maximum of 21 days. Accepts both self-referrals and referrals from the state child welfare system. A pre-screening call is necessary.
Intake Procedure: To initiate the process, call the shelter's intake line for a prescreening, which takes about an hour and is available 24/7. The intake procedure involves a comprehensive screening and background check.
Fees: A sliding scale is applied; no individual will be denied service due to inability to pay.
Who can use this
- Youth aged 7-17 facing homelessness or referred by the state child welfare system are eligible, but those with criminal histories related to arson, sex offenses, assault, or homicide cannot be served, and background checks are conducted.
