Who can use this

There are no restrictions for obtaining pet licenses, which are mandatory for all dogs and cats aged 8 weeks or older in most parts of King County. To qualify for the senior/disabled discount, the pet owner must be at least 65 years old or have a verified disability, and the pet must be altered. For service animals, the owner must provide documentation of their disability and a statement confirming the animal's status as a service animal, with the pet also being altered. A service animal is defined as any animal trained or in training to assist individuals who are blind, hearing impaired, or otherwise disabled, and must be registered with a recognized service animal organization.
