Cancer Lifeline
Community Resource
About this resource
This program offers financial support to cancer patients who are undergoing treatment within a three-month timeframe. Assistance includes help with rent, food, and medical supplies.
Application Procedure: Applications must be submitted electronically. Patients should collaborate with an oncology social worker or healthcare provider to complete the online application. The processing time may extend from two to three months, meaning the program cannot address urgent shut-off or eviction notices. Funding is limited, and applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis based on fund availability. Due to the restricted funds, not every eligible application may receive assistance. The Cancer Lifeline PAF can only be awarded once per patient.
Fees: There are no fees associated.
Who can use this
- Patients who have previously received funding from either the Komen or Cancer Lifeline funds are ineligible to reapply. Applicants must demonstrate an urgent need, such as having exhausted food assistance from other agencies, and their household income must be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. Treatment must be received in Western Washington, which may include ongoing cancer suppression medications and hormone therapy.
