Community Resource
About this resource
This program offers financial support to low-income individuals, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and those who are elderly, blind, or disabled, including various assistance programs such as TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO) to get an application. Once the online or paper application is submitted, the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) will provide a letter outlining the interview process. Clients needing urgent financial help should consult their case manager. The phone service includes a callback option (virtual hold), allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it's their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the initial contact will be a navigator who assesses the call to determine the best assistance available.
There are no fees associated with this service.
