Who can use this
- According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, students and families experiencing homelessness qualify for specific rights, regardless of whether their situation arises from natural disasters (such as floods, earthquakes, or fires) or human-made crises; eligible individuals may reside in shelters, motels, vehicles, campgrounds, on the streets, in 24-hour establishments, or with friends or relatives due to the lack of affordable housing, including scenarios like 'couch surfing' or unaccompanied minors living independently.
