About this resource
This initiative supports DSHS public assistance recipients in acquiring a Washington State ID card at a lower cost from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form for clients to present at DOL, allowing them to obtain the card for just $5.
Intake Procedure: Reach out to or visit any Community Service Office.
Fees: ID Card: $5.
Who can use this
- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, including both financial and food assistance, are eligible. Those under 25 without a permanent address do not require a DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility at the driver licensing office during ID issuance.
