This initiative supports homeless families and students, including those without adult supervision, by offering services aimed at helping them continue their education.
To initiate the process, contact the Homeless Liaison at (360) 877-5463 and leave a message with your phone number if there is no immediate response.
There are no associated fees for these services.
Who can use this
- According to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Act, families or students are considered homeless and entitled to special rights if they are: - residing in a shelter, motel, vehicle, or campground - living on the streets, in a 24-hour restaurant, or at a bus station - displaced by a natural or human-made disaster (such as floods, earthquakes, or fires) - staying in inadequate living conditions like a motel, abandoned building, or trailer - living with friends or relatives due to a lack of affordable housing - 'couch surfing' - teenagers living independently.
