About this resource
This service provides on-demand rides from your residence to your desired location or the closest Pierce Transit bus stop. For more details, click on the program name. To initiate the process, contact Access Pierce for screening. Please allow up to 21 days for your application to be reviewed and approved. Once approved, Beyond the Borders will reach out to you. After receiving approval, you can directly contact Beyond the Borders to arrange your rides, as they will have all necessary information on file. Be sure to make trip reservations at least 48 hours in advance.
Cost: No fees.
Who can use this
- Eligible participants include adults aged 65 and older, individuals with disabilities (including temporary disabilities), veterans, low-income individuals, or youth aged 5-17 who reside in the eastern or southern regions of Pierce County outside the Pierce Transit boundaries. Some applicable zip codes are: 98321, 98323, 98328, 98387, 98334, 98338, 98352, 98360, 98374, 98375, 98385, 98390, 98391, 98396, 98558, 98580. Note: Individuals must have an income below $1,874/month to qualify as low-income, but seniors and those with disabilities are not required to meet this income criterion.
