This program, funded by both state and federal sources, assists low-income families and individuals in covering their heating expenses during the winter months.
Intake Procedure: Appointments are required; no walk-ins are accepted. To schedule an appointment, call ahead or complete an online form to expedite the process. Phone lines open at 7 am, and appointments are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. During the call, potential applicants will answer pre-qualifying questions to assess their eligibility and must provide necessary documentation at the time of their appointment. For efficient service, please adhere to the provided instructions when calling. The program typically starts in September or October and runs until all funds are exhausted. Individuals without heat can call at any time to inquire about available appointments.
Fees: There are no associated fees.
Who can use this
- To qualify, household income must not exceed 150% of the federal poverty level for LIHEAP, though other funding sources may have varying requirements.
