Dshs' Sunnyside Community Services Office
Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative provides financial support to low-income families, immigrants, refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are elderly, blind, or disabled. The available programs include TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
Intake Procedure: To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO). Once the online or paper application is submitted, the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) will send a letter outlining the interview requirements. Clients in need of emergency financial help should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone service includes a callback feature (virtual hold), allowing callers to enter their phone number and receive a return call when it is their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the first will be a navigator who assesses the call to determine if they can assist or if another qualified person should take over.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this service.
