About this resource

Women's Life operates as an extension of St. Luke's RMC, offering a comfortable setting where women can find solutions to their health care concerns. Resources cover a range of topics such as pregnancy and parenting, STDs, and preventive education. The Neonatal Support Group (381-2661) assists parents of NICU infants during their hospital stay and afterwards, facilitated by volunteers who have had similar experiences, with weekly meetings. The Parents Plus Support Group (208-841-9199) aims to support parents of children with physical or mental disabilities, chronic health issues, or developmental delays, meeting at the Anderson Center in St. Luke's Hospital on the second Friday of each month from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., though no Spanish support is available and there are no fees. St. Luke's also provides a variety of parenting and pregnancy support services, including informative and affordable classes on childbirth and parenting. Specific services include a breastfeeding support group led by a lactation specialist, a monthly SIDS/miscarriage support group (Share of Idaho), ongoing community education programs like car seat checks, childbirth education classes, a pregnancy exercise program (H2O Aerobics and Yoga), and various other classes such as Marvelous Multiples, Parent Refresher, Baby Care Basics, Sibling Preparation, Safe Sitters for pre-teens, Teen Dating, Puberty, Caesarean Birth, Heart Saver First Aid, and CPR for infants and children, all conducted in English.
