About this resource
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization that collaborates with local communities to construct affordable housing. These homes are sold to individuals in need without profit and without interest. To qualify as a Habitat Family, applicants must meet several criteria: their current housing situation must be inadequate and they should not have access to better housing options; their monthly housing expenses should be excessive; their income must align with the HUD annual income guidelines; they must have resided or worked in Magic Valley County for a minimum of one year; they should be capable of making the zero-interest monthly mortgage payments; they must commit to completing 300 to 500 hours of volunteer work, known as
