About this resource
This initiative delivers a variety of supportive services tailored for very low-income Veteran families who are either currently in permanent housing, facing homelessness with plans to move into permanent housing soon, or looking for alternative housing after leaving permanent residences. The support services encompass personal financial planning, income assistance, legal aid, housing search and counseling, vocational and rehabilitation services provided by the New York State Department of Labor, employment training through the Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center, outreach initiatives, peer support, case management, and help in securing VA benefits along with other public assistance programs.
