Ammerman Campus

This program delivers a nurturing and developmentally suitable child care service for children from six weeks to five years old. It is licensed by the New York State Department of Social Services and welcomes children of SCCC students, faculty, staff, Suffolk County employees, and local residents. The program features affordable pricing, a sliding fee scale, and several tuition assistance options. It creates a warm, secure, healthy, and engaging environment, with flexible scheduling to accommodate parents' work or college commitments, allowing them to visit their children at any time. Staff members are chosen based on their educational qualifications, early childhood training, teaching experience, and their ability to meet the unique needs of young children. The program maintains adult-to-child ratios that comply with or surpass New York State Department of Social Services standards and provides meals that adhere to New York State Department of Health nutritional guidelines. The centers are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
