Klamath Family Head Start
Community Resource
About this resource
Head Start services aim to prepare children for school by fostering their social and cognitive growth in a classroom environment, along with providing educational, health, nutritional, social, and additional support services to both children and their families. The program places a strong emphasis on parental involvement, offering services such as goal-setting, parenting workshops, and networking opportunities for parents.
Who can use this
- Families with children aged 3-5 are eligible, particularly those with incomes at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Children in foster care, homeless children, and those from families receiving public assistance (like TANF, SNAP, or SSI) qualify regardless of income. Families with higher incomes may also qualify under specific circumstances, but those with greater needs are given priority.
