About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver education, health care, nutrition, social services, and additional assistance, including developmental screenings, specifically for migrant children whose parents are employed in agricultural fields. The initiative focuses on helping preschoolers build essential language, reading, and math skills necessary for academic success, with a strong emphasis on parental engagement. Services available for parents and expectant mothers encompass parenting education, family support, and opportunities for leadership. Additionally, wrap-around child care services may be offered.
