About this resource

This service delivers confidential mediation, facilitation, and education on conflict resolution. The mediation types include: -Community Mediation: Addressing conflicts such as noise, property disputes, vandalism, harassment, minor assaults, and financial disagreements. -Foreclosure Avoidance Mediation: Involves trained facilitators who organize face-to-face meetings between borrowers and lenders to prevent home foreclosure. -Housing Mediation: Assists tenants and landlords in discussing issues related to rent, repairs, and communication about living arrangements. -Manufactured Home (MFH) Mediation: Helps homeowners, residents, managers, and park owners resolve conflicts related to their parks and living conditions. -Home Sharing Mediation: Connects homeless high school students eager to graduate with individuals willing to share their homes, facilitating rental agreements and house rules discussions to ensure clear communication and mutual expectations prior to moving in. Mediators follow up after a few months to encourage ongoing communication and conflict resolution. -Restorative Dialogue: Provides trained facilitators to enable face-to-face meetings between juvenile offenders and crime victims, allowing discussions about the harm caused, accountability, and agreements to repair the damage. Most cases are accepted, except for parenting plan/divorce matters or court-ordered small claims, which are managed through Washington County.
