About this resource

Head Start services aim to prepare children for school by improving their social and cognitive skills in a classroom environment, alongside offering educational, health, nutritional, social, and various other services to both children and their families. Emphasis is placed on engaging parents, who can benefit from goal-setting assistance, parenting classes, and networking opportunities. Additionally, Head Start is available at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in partnership with the Oregon Department of Corrections, where teachers support incarcerated mothers in bonding with their children, acquiring parenting skills, and preparing for life after release.

Intake Procedure: Contact via phone or visit the website for more details and registration.

Travel/Location: Accessible via TriMet bus line 94.

Fees: No charges apply.
