Community Resource
About this resource
This program provides financial support to low-income families, immigrants and refugees, pregnant women, and individuals who are aged, blind, or disabled. The available programs include TANF/WorkFirst, AREN, Diversion Cash Assistance, Refugee Cash Assistance, and ABD.
Intake Process: To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO). Once an online or paper application is submitted, DSHS will send a letter outlining the interview requirements. Clients in need of emergency financial help should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone line features a callback option (virtual hold) allowing callers to input their phone number and receive a return call when it is their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives; the initial contact will be a navigator who assesses the call to determine if they can assist or if another specialist is better suited for the caller's needs.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
