Application Process: Clients can apply online, through mail, via email, or by dropping off their application. To qualify for an air conditioning unit, clients must have been approved for LIHEAP in the current program year.

Cost: There are no fees associated with this program.

Who can use this

To qualify, clients must reside within Seattle city limits. Those in the 98133 and 98177 zip codes should contact the front desk or email to verify their eligibility. They can also reach out to Hopelink at 425-658-2592 for assistance. The gross household income must not exceed 150% of the Federal Poverty Level for LIHEAP, and the net household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income for PSE HELP. Clients can inquire about income guidelines through phone, email, or online. The client's name must be listed on the utility account. Assistance is available once per program year (October through September) for eligible households, which may include residents of private, public, and subsidized housing. An overdue utility bill or shut-off notice is not necessary.
