About this resource
Delivers free heating oil to low-income households as supplies permit and when the delivery truck is in the vicinity; there may be a waiting period.
Intake Process: Contact to add your name and address to the list. Expect a call back from staff within 24 hours. Email a request for the contract. Written consent on the HEAT (Home Energy Assistance Team) contract is required for Tanks by Dallas to access the property and the oil tank. Referrals from social service agencies and oil companies are also accepted.
Costs: None.
Who can use this
- Individuals and families with low income, including seniors and those on fixed incomes, who rely on diesel heating oil as their main heat source, must provide the current oil level in their tank to arrange for a donation. The program aims to assist clients annually.
